Deutsch 38 Function The Poweriser‘s frame is made of aluminum and fiber glass. Powerisers for adults are divided into three weight categories. These are absolutely identical, except for differences in spring tension - PR5070, PR7090, PR90120. The fiber glass spring is compressed by body weight and momentum, and returns this energy to the user in the form of jumping power. The Poweriser makes jumps of up to 2 meters in height and 5 meters in width possible - users can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h (about 25 mph). Advantages: No cellulites & tighter skin – proven substantial incre- ase of blood flow, which improves the user‘s metabolism, thus leading to skin tightening and skin rejuvenation Fat burner - 5 times more efficient than jogging. You will lose pounds by leaps and bounds. Stress relief – through athletic activities. Turn superfluous energy and anger into kinetic energy. Simple to learn – it may be hard to believe, but you‘ll walk on them without help after only 10 minutes. Builds muscle – 98 % of your muscles are activated and trained. Your belly, knees and back are strengthened while strain on them is also relieved by the Poweriser spring. english maunual_all-languages.indd 38 02.03.2009 15:18:03 Uhr

Deutsch 42 Using the Poweriser Device Set-up: Set-up at delivery: Knee binder installed, screws are not tightened!!! Open knee binder completely and place your foot on the Poweriser. Open four screws in the aluminum frame. Adjust knee binder height on both sides until the upper rim of the textile piece is situated about 3 - 6 cm below your knee cap. Adjust knee binder for your required height and width. Tighten screws. The textile pieces must be tight against your leg on the right and left sides prior to tightening the screws. Your lower leg must be parallel to the aluminum frame behind it. For knock-kneed or bowlegged persons, this can be achieved by adjusting the knee binder to the outside or inside. Should one or both feet feel like they are going unnaturally to the left/right side while walking, the knee-cuffs have to be adjusted and orien- ted to point in the same direction that your feet should be going. Repeat this step until the structure of the jumping stilt bends 100% straight (rather than with a twist) downwards while jumping and/or running. english maunual_all-languages.indd 42 02.03.2009 15:18:04 Uhr

Deutsch 44 Using the Poweriser After Use Find an elevated place to sit on Open front and hind bindings completely (see figure) Take off Poweriser We strongly suggest that beginners have a second person help them at first. When standing for the first time, have someone hold both your hands and take small steps to get acquainted with the device. Compa- red to normal walking, you need to remember lifting your knees some- what higher than usual. Do not attempt jumping during first attempts at walking. Careful walking and running are the basics and necessary to going on to jumping later. The pressure point for jumping is (in contrast to normal walking) at your heel instead of the front of your foot. englishenglish maunual_all-languages.indd 44 02.03.2009 15:18:04 Uhr

Deutsch 45 Safety Instructions For your own protection use not only the suggested kneepads, but also a helmet, wrist and elbow pads. Practice slowly and step by step until you feel secure enough to attempt the first small jumps. Adjust the length of your training to your current phy- sical fitness level to prevent sore muscles or even injury. The Poweriser is available in three different versions, optimized for different weight categories. Make sure to use the right Poweriser for your weight category. Make sure to warm up before each training session to prevent injury. Parts that get wet or dirty should be cleaned with a dry cloth after use to prevent corrosion. englishenglish maunual_all-languages.indd 45 02.03.2009 15:18:04 Uhr
